Background of the issue:
I am trying to convert some of my trips to the German language. On these pages, I am adding internal links with the full URL that links to the English blog post or pages. However, on the frontend, these links are automatically getting converted to the domain/de/slug instead of the actual URL link added in the admin. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link.

Symptoms:
The internal links on the German pages are automatically converting to domain/de/slug instead of the actual URL link added in the admin.

Questions:
Why are the internal links on the German pages converting to domain/de/slug?
How can I fix the issue of internal links not displaying the actual URL?

Hi,

Can you please provide the links that you expect to point to the English language?
It would be great if you could also attach screenshots.

You wrote: "On these pages, I am adding internal links with the full URL that links to the English blog post or pages."
Can you please explain how you added those links?
Also, can you please explain the method in which you translated the page from English to German?

Regards,
Itamar.

Hi There,

Here is the German Version of the page: hidden link

On the above page, the links on hidden link is actually set to English language page, however it is automatically adding /de/ within the link. This should have been automatically linked to hidden link However my original post also got redirect and is not opening after this changes.

The link was added using the admin default editor screen: hidden link

Please let me know if there is some steps that I need to follow while doing this.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for adding details about this case. However, I can't see the problem. The link on the German page that you show in your screenshot is taking me here:
hidden link
Which is where you expected to get.
Please see a video I recorded while trying this.

Have you solved this problem already?

Itamar.
