The category slug for another language does not redirect

This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:

I am having an issue with incorrect language category links on my website. For example, the link /fr/blog-en/ is leading to a category intended for English instead of French, causing confusion for visitors.

Solution:

Directly follow the published errata link provided: https://wpml.org/errata/wpml-translated-posts-accessible-through-original-language-category/ for updates on the resolution. Currently, there is no estimated time for a fix.

mitkoD-2	There is a new blog article on a customers site: hidden link (This is in dutch) They have made a french translation: hidden link But also this link is working hidden link blog-en is not a category for that language tho. But for the language english. So when going to fr/blog-en/ should result in going to /fr/blog-fr or display a 404.

Christopher Amirian WPML Supporter since 07/2020 Languages: English (English ) Timezone: Asia/Yerevan (GMT+04:00)	Hi there, I checked the details on my installation and the same thing is going on: hidden link I asked the second tier about this as it seems to be the default behavior at the moment when you use the custom permalink of category inside the permalink. I will get back to you as soon as I have an answer if this is the default behavior or there is a workaround or not.
