This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with importing a .zip file containing translated XLIFF files. After importing, the pages are not translated, and attempting to approve the translations results in an error message stating that the action does not apply to any of the selected translation jobs.
Solution:
We have identified that the XLIFF file format provided by the translator differs from the format exported from WPML. We recommend contacting the translator and requesting that they export the translation again, ensuring that the XLIFF file matches the format of the file originally exported from WPML. For guidance on configuring XLIFF file options, please refer to our documentation:

The transferred xliff file seems to be incorrectly formed.

Hi Cyril,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.

I'm not able to access your site admin area and FTP to download the XLIFF file and check this. Can you please share them again in your next reply? Your next reply is set to private to share the info.

❌ IMPORTANT: Please backup your database and website before proceeding ❌

It also sounds like this issue https://wpml.org/forums/topic/the-uploaded-xliff-file-does-not-seem-to-be-properly-formed-7
where the target tag in the XLIFF file is missing content. Please ask your translator to insert content into the target tag or keep the same content as in the source tag and re-send the XLIFF file to you.

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

Hi,

Yes, I read the chat conversation and still cannot access your site via FTP account. Please upload the XLIFF files to Google Drive or Dropbox and share the URL here. I will help you to check this.

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

Hi,

I can access your site and download the XLIFF file. I see the XLIFF file content that you received from the translator has a different format from the XLIFF file that was exported from WPML. That's why you've changed the file extension from .sdlxliff to .xliff and still could not import the file. Please check the screenshots attached.

Please contact your translator and ask them to export the translation again to the XLIFF file that has the same format as in the file exported from WPML.

Hi
The translator sent us a new zip file with new translated xliff files. I imported them and got no error message this time.
I got '100 jobs imported' but after what should I do ?
the pages are not translated yet.

if I select all the lines and click on the "approove translations' I get the message : 'This action does not apply to any of the selected translation jobs'

thanks
