Background of the issue:
I’m using WPML with 'a different domain per language': Default language: Romanian – hidden link, Secondary language: English – hidden link. When I try to edit English (secondary domain) pages in Elementor while logged into the main domain (.com.ro), Elementor fails to load or logs me out. WordPress cookies (like wordpress_logged_in_) are not set on the .co.uk domain, so session is lost. I’ve confirmed this using browser dev tools. This issue has now occurred on two different websites with WPML and Elementor installed, both on Rocket.net. Their engineers applied SameSite=None; Secure, reviewed server configs, and concluded it’s a WPML-side issue with session handling across domains.
Symptoms:
Elementor fails to load or logs me out when editing English pages on the secondary domain. WordPress cookies are not set on the .co.uk domain, causing session loss.
Questions:
Can you please urgently advise how WPML supports authentication/session continuity across separate domains?
