Hi there,

Please make a small change on the footer, for example, add a space in one of the texts and save the result.

After that follow the steps mentioned below:

https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/divi-builder/#how-to

If the issue persists, I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.

Make sure you set the next reply as private.

Also, tell us the name of the layout you used for the footer.

Thanks.

Hello,
Stil... nothing happened.
I have the Footer pending for review, but I’m not able to get to the review page…
How do I send you the information on a private message?
Thank you,
Cristina

PS: I was able now to get to review it, but it is still the old page showing.
Do I need to remove cash?

Hi there,

Thank you very much. I tried to Add the GENERAL-FOOTER layout to translate in translation management and went to WPML > Translations menu and I see that there is an error and the page is not showing at all and that might be the cause of the layout issue.

I am not sure but it is worth the check. I'd appreciate it if you could update the DIVI theme to version 4.25.1. That should fix the empty translations menu issue.

Please inform me in the next reply and I will continue the investigation.

Thank you.

Hello,

I don’t believe the update is the problem, as I usually have all updated.
It is updated, if you can continue, I appreciate.
Thank you

Hi there,

Thank you. I did try a few methods and all comes to the fact that I need to have access to WPML > Translations menu which currently is not working.

I want to be able to do troubleshooting which means it is not possible on a live website.

I'd appreciate it if you could provide login information of a website copy so I can work on?

You can set the next reply as private to provide the login info.

What I plan to do on the website copy:

- Switch to the default theme such as "TwentyTwenty" by going to "WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > themes".
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > Plugins" and deactivate all plugins except WPML and its add-ons.
- Check if I can still recreate the issue.

Thanks.

Hi Cristina,

Thank you for the login information. Would you please check? I did not do anything but it seems your staging version works ok.

So the best way is to check what is the difference between the to installation to find the culprit.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Thanks, I checked and could not find the reason why this is happening. I wonder what was the change done between the working version and this version of the website?

Meanwhile I asked the second tier support to see if they have any clues why the translations page does not show to be able to complete the translation of the Divi footer.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Thank you for your patience for now we have fixed the WPML > translations menu issue.

You can fix that on your live website too:

- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website. Or better approach will be to test this on a copy/staging version of the website to avoid any disruption of a live website.
- Go to WordPress Dashboard > Pages
- From the top admin language bar select ALL LANGUAGES
- At the top of the page list, select the Trash filter.
- It contains to items.
- Select them and click the Restore button to restore them.
- Now if you go to WordPress Dashboard > Translations you will see the list without any issues

I am still not succeeded on translating the English version of the Footer. Most probably the same sort of issue happened that something is deleted along the way.

Would you please test by by creating a copy of the footer in pt-pt language and set it as the main footer and translate it from scratch?

See if it works that way.

Hi,
You mean you fi it on the staging that I’ve created?
Because I can’t see any difference…
Can you check, please?

Hi there,

The issue of a blank page in the WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Translations page is fixed in the staging website by restoring those trashed pages.

We do not have access to the live website at the moment.

That was the first step to be bale to see the translation in the first place.

Now we are investigating why the English version of the footer is not showing translated in the front end of the website.

Just to make sure I understand, you do not reference any other Footer template ID manually inside the Global Footer content correct?

Thanks.

Hi there,

The second-tier support found the problem cause.

There was a reference to a layout with the name of footer-02 which needed the update for translation to work correctly.

I explained the details here:

Please inform us the result.

Thanks.
