This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing issues with the 'pickup country' and 'pickup location' fields in the booking form on their website being translated by WPML, which disrupts their functionality.
Solution:
1. We recommend checking the source of these strings. You can do this by navigating to WPML -> String Translation. Once there, search for the strings and try copying them to the secondary language to see if the issue persists.
2. Ensure that all WPML plugins are updated to the latest version. You can update the plugins by going to Plugins -> Add new -> Commercial tab.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem continues, please do not hesitate to open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to stop some fields from being translated on my site hidden link. Specifically, I want to prevent the default values for 'pickup country' and 'pickup location' in the booking form from being translated, as this affects their functionality.

Symptoms:
When I run the translator, the fields 'pickup country' and 'pickup location' are being translated, which causes the defaults to no longer work.

Questions:
How do I prevent specific fields from being translated in WPML?

Hello,
Thank you for contacting us

1.- Can you tell me where these strings are coming from?
Also, if you go to WPML -> String Translation -> Search the strings and copy them to the secondary language, does the issue persist?

2.- Please update the WPML plugins to the latest version. You can do this in Plugins -> Add new -> Commercial tab.

Regards,
Carlos
