I am trying to translated an ACF field section on an options page. The section is showing up with a lock (This field is locked for editing because WPML will copy its value from the original language.) but when I go to that ACF field there are no translation options for me to choose from. This might be because the field is a clone, but all the cloned fields are translatable. How can I translate this content?
I've attached three images:
1. shows the locked section
2. shows that ACF group (clone field) with no translation options
3. shows one of the underlying cloned fields is set to translate
This was all working fine under previous versions of WPML. I don't know when this stopped working, unfortunately as this is a client site and they are only now trying to make an update which isn't working.
I fixed this by changing both the German (original) and English ACF field group (clone) to Expert settings and then to translate. I always followed instructions to set clone fields as copy so this was causing the problem. I was able to translate this content after making this change.
