Hi there,

Would you please give me more information on what happens when you hit the review button?

In general, I suggest that you do as follows:

- Go to your Dashboard > Pages.
- Open the edit screen of the original page. You should see a pencil/circle/gear icon in the sidebar options under the "Languages" section.
- Make a small change, for example, add an extra blank space at the end of a sentence/paragraph.
- Save it.
- You should now see that a circular arrow appears beside the 2nd languages links, this means that an update is required.
- Edit the translation again and save it up to 100% translated.

But if it continues please give me more information to know what is going on.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Thank you for the information.

Ok first please do as follows:

- Deactivate and delete the plugins below as you do not need them:

WPML Sticky Links
WPML CMS Nav
WPML All Import

After that, please go to WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Translation Management > Translators

And make sure the user that you send the translation and you want to review with has permission to do translation for the language pair in question:

https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-admin-capabilities/

If the issue persists, I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.

Make sure you set the next reply as private.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Sorry for the late reply. We did some investigation on your website but unfortunately could not find what might be the cause of the problem.

This needs further investigation including:

- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website. Or better approach will be to test this on a copy/staging version of the website to avoid any disruption of a live website.
- Switch to the default theme such as "TwentyTwenty" by going to "WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > themes".
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > Plugins" and deactivate all plugins except WPML and its add-ons.
- Check if you can still recreate the issue.
- If not, re-activate your plugins one by one and check the issue each time to find out the plugin that causes the problem.

I wonder if it is ok for you to do the test on a staging/copy version of your website.

If not, I wonder if we have permission to copy your website to our server for further investigation.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Thank you. I copied the website to our server and the same issue is happening there too.

Even clicking the + icon does not show the ATE.

I deactivated all third party plugins and the theme and tested them with no results.

I also did a few Troubleshooting methods from WPML > Support > Troubleshooting without any results.

I also checked the ATE error log and could not find what might be the cause of the issue.

I created a report and escalated the issue to the second-tier support.

They will check it next week and I will get back to you as soon as I have an update.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi there,

I appreciate your patience. I have an answer from the second-tier support:

Please go to WordPress Dashboard > WPML > Support > Troubleshooting (link)
Click the "Remove ghost entries from the translation tables" button only.

After that please re-send the page for translation and it should work ok.

Thanks.
