This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where recipe measurements display incorrectly in the French version of their website on mobile devices. Initially, measurements appear in US customary units and decimals instead of fractions and grams. This issue corrects itself when switching to the English version and then returning to the French recipe card.
Solution:
We recommend the following steps to address the issue:
1. Ensure that the language switching functionality is correctly configured in WPML to maintain consistent measurement units across different languages.
2. Check the settings in the WP Recipe Maker plugin, as it might be retaining settings from the previously viewed language version.
3. Clear the cache on your mobile device as it might be displaying an old version of the page.
4. If these steps do not resolve the issue, we suggest opening a new support ticket with us. Please include any relevant details and steps you have already tried.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please do not hesitate to contact us for further assistance at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to display recipe measurements correctly in French on my website. My first language is English, and the second one is French. I have measurements in metrics and US customary units. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link

Symptoms:
In the French version of recipes, measurements sometimes incorrectly display in US customary units and decimals instead of fractions and grams. This issue mainly occurs on mobile devices. When I switch to the English version in metrics and then return to the French recipe card, the measurements correct themselves.

Questions:
Why do measurements display incorrectly in the French version on the first visit?
How can I ensure measurements display correctly in French without switching languages?

Hello,
My name is Carlos and I will continue working on this ticket

1.- I visited the site and after refreshing the page several times the measurements were always shown in grams (in French) as expected. Could you describe the steps to follow the reproduce the issue at will?

2.- Also, could you tell me how this information is created? Are you using ACF or any similar plugin?

Regards,
Carlos

Hi Carlos,

Thank you for your response.

1 - Did you visualize it on mobile? It seems this issue mainly happen on mobile. So, if you go to any post on mobile, then switch to French (the switch button is located in the menu) then click on the jump to recipe button to go to the recipe card. I usually see measurements in cups and in decimals on my first visit of the day.

Then if I go back to English, and click on "M" for the metrics, then go back to the French recipe card, it would show correctly. But always shows incorrectly on my first visit. I noticed this as a visitor (I wasn't logged into WordPress).

2 - This information is created in the plugin WP recipe maker.

Many thanks,

Emma

Hi Emma,
Thank you for your message

I see it correctly the first time I access it, however when changing to the English version it stays in grams and milliliters. So I guess there is an issue.

Please share the access credentials to the site in your next message that I have set private. I would like to take a look at the configuration.

Important: Confirm you created a full site backup before sharing the credentials that you can use to restore the site if necessary.
