This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client has installed CPT UI to create categories for different types of pages/posts and needs to translate the slug for a Spanish translation of an article, which is still in English.

Solution:
1. To translate Categories and their slugs, navigate to WPML > Taxonomies Translation. This section allows for the translation of all taxonomies, including Categories and Tags. For detailed instructions, refer to our guide on translating taxonomies and their slugs: Translating Post Categories and Custom Taxonomies.

2. If the slug in question is associated with a post type, go to WPML > Settings and scroll down to the Post Type Translation section. Locate the post type you need to translate (e.g., 'fast-facts') and translate its slug. For guidance on this process, please see: Translating a Post Type's URL.

We've installed CPT UI to help create categories for different types of pages/posts. I create a Spanish translation for an article en English but the slug is still in English. I do not know where to translate these categories so they show up automatically in the Spanish translations.

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support. Sorry for the delay in responding due to the weekend.

To translate Categories and their slugs, you can do so by navigating to "WPML > Taxonomies Translation". Here, you'll find all taxonomies, including Categories and Tags, available for translation. For more details on translating taxonomies and their slugs, please refer to the guide provided below.

Hi Prosenjit,

Thanks for the guidance. I have all categories already translated, I checked all the other options in the drop menu and none show the categories shown in the attachment. Where can I translate those categories that are later displayed in the URLs as the one I showed you?

Greetings

Hi There,
Thank you for the clarifications.

Upon reviewing the WPML Debug Info, I noticed that the "fast-facts" slug, which appears while accessing the Spanish post, is actually associated with a post type. Now, to translate that slug, Please go to "WPML > Settings" and scroll down to the "Post Type Translation" section. Locate the "fast-facts' post type and translate its slug by following the guidelines outlined here: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-page-slugs/#translating-a-post-types-url

Please let me know if that helps to solve the issue or if you need further assistance in this matter. I will be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
