Change 'main language' of existing pages

Problem:
The client needs to change the 'main language' of existing WordPress pages to make the English version the 'parent' or 'main translation' for all other language translations.
Solution:

jelleS	What is the best and safest way to be able to change the relationship between various translations of a page? We have quite a number of pages for which the original 'parent' or 'main translation' should be the English version. Then all other languages should be set so "This is a translation of" would link to this English version. We know how to do this correctly for new pages, but we're unclear on how to be able to change on existing pages. I have screen recorded a video with explanation that may be clearer: hidden link
