Background of the issue:
I am trying to manage the database size for my site hidden link. I noticed very large autoload files in my database that seem related to WPML. I have 1000 products, none of which are translated yet, and I have translated 50 to 100 other pages in two languages.

Symptoms:
The database has very large autoload entries, particularly wp_installer_settings and _icl_cache, which seem to be related to WPML.

Questions:
Can you confirm that the size of wp_installer_settings is related to the WPML plugin?
What can I do to reduce the size of these autoload entries?

Hi,

Regarding `wp_installer_settings`:
This is a known issue and has already been documented here:
https://wpml.org/errata/big-size-for-wp_installer_settings/

A fix is currently in development. While we don’t have an exact release date yet, it is likely to be included in WPML 4.9 or possibly an earlier version, depending on how quickly the development progresses—especially given the number of reports we've received.

Unfortunately, there is no current workaround available for this issue. In the meantime, please do not attempt to manually remove or clear this entry, as doing so could break WPML settings or cause instability.

Regarding `_icl_cache`:
You can try clearing this safely using the following steps:

1. Go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting
2. Use the “Clear the cache in WPML” option

This may help reduce its size slightly, though it's expected to regrow as WPML rebuilds necessary internal data.

Please let us know if this helps or if you have any further questions.
