This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to have text editor widget links automatically update to the correct language path during page duplication, but the URL paths are not updating as expected. Instead of showing the en-au version, the links are defaulting to the English version.
Solution:
We recommend converting the duplicated page into a translation to ensure that the links update to the correct language path. You can find detailed instructions on how to do this in our documentation: Convert a Duplicate Into a Translation.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to have text editor widget links automatically update to the correct language path during page duplication. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link.

Symptoms:
The URL paths are not updating as expected after duplication. Instead of showing the en-au version, the links are defaulting to the English version.

Questions:
Why are the text editor widget links not updating to the correct language path during duplication?
How can I ensure the links include the en-au path after duplication?

Thanks for contacting us. The links will be the same if you duplicate them. Could you please "Convert a Duplicate Into a Translation" as explained here https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/displaying-untranslated-content-on-pages-in-secondary-languages/#how-to-convert-a-translation-into-a-duplicate and let me know if it fixes the issue?
