I have a website currently in English, and I want to add a second language. However, I would like the new language to be the primary language on the main domain, while English should be accessible at hidden link. How can I accomplish this, considering that the main domain is currently in English?

1) In order to add another language to your website please follow these steps:
- go to WP admin -> WPML -> Languages -> Site Langauges section
- click the button “Add/Remove languages”
- select the language you want
- click “save”
After that on the same page, on the section “Language URL format” you sould select the option: “Different languages in directories”
2) You would first need to translate all your website content from English to the second language and after set the other language as default language in order for the English language to be accessible at hidden link
To do so, after everything is translated follow these steps:
- go to WP admin -> WPML -> Languages -> Site Langauges section
- click the button “Change default language”
- select the language you want
- click save
After, the secondary language should be accessible at hidden link
