Background of the issue:
I'm doing SEO and accessibility scans on our site, and I noticed missing alt tags on the widget flag images.

Symptoms:
I expected to see alt tags in the flag images in the language-picker-widget, but instead, I got no alt tags.

Questions:
Can you add alt tags to the flagimages in a future release, please?
The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link

Thank you for contacting WPML support.

The missing ALT attribute on the flag images in the Language Switcher isn’t a bug—it’s by design.

For a more detailed explanation, and if you still need to add ALT text, please check the following link: https://wpml.org/errata/missing-alt-tag-for-flag-image-in-a-language-switcher/
