This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are trying to translate paragraphs and text blocks as a whole on your site, but WPML is translating them line by line, which disrupts the alignment and professionalism of the translation.
Solution:
1. Open your page for translation in WPML's Advanced Translation Editor.
2. Look for a small cog icon at the top right of your screen and click on it.
3. Enable the option "I prefer bigger segments" to allow WPML to handle larger text blocks at once, improving the coherence of translations.

If you're translating product categories or taxonomies and want to handle them all at once, follow these steps:
How to translate all taxonomy terms at once

Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate paragraphs and text blocks on my site rather than line by line. The site I need help with is hidden link.

Symptoms:
I am unable to translate paragraphs and text blocks as a whole, and instead, it seems to be translating line by line.

Questions:
How can I translate paragraphs and text blocks as a whole using WPML?

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us.

While you wait for my colleague to take over the ticket, let me try to help you with the issue quickly.

Once you open your page for translation in WPML Advanced translation editor, there is small cog icon in top right of your screen. Click on it and enable "I prefer bigger segments" option.

Regards,
Drazen

Hello Drazen,

thank you for your kind reply.
that is the case for me as that option is marked yet WPML instead of taking paragraphs at a time it takes small segments and most of the time line by line. it makes no sense to translate line by line as sometimes the languages do not align correctly together this creating a very unprofessional translation.

I hope to hear from you soon,
Victor

Hi Victor,

Welcome to WPML support. Is this happening on all the excerpts of tghe posts that you have or that specific one?

I wonder if there will be a change of the detection if you do as follows:

- Go to your Dashboard > Posts.
- Open the edit screen of the original page. You should see a pencil/circle/gear icon in the sidebar options under the "Languages" section.
- Make a small change, for example, add an extra blank space at the end of a sentence/paragraph.
- Save it.
- You should now see that a circular arrow appears beside the 2nd languages links, this means that an update is required.
- Edit the translation again and save it up to 100% translated.

One other thing I should mention is that check if there is a join functionality when you hover over the sentences:

Thanks.

Hello Christopher,

Mainly your solutions did not make any difference in regards to making a change.
this also is for product that was translated already but when translating for the first time and its lots of text it makes no sense.
I also do not have the ability to link lines into one paragraph or make them in chunks, please see attached screenshot.

As per your enquiry about if it is all like that, what I see is that it varies but mostly line by line.

Hi,

Ok from the screenshot you shared, I do see that the paragraphs are separated in the product excerpt.

This will be how ATE works and there is no joiIn those sections as ATE needs the separation to find a meaningful chunk to handle automated translations.

The second part is the taxonomies. These can be translated once and after that they should not show if the new product has the same categories.

You can always translate all product categories at once and get done with it doing the steps below:

Thanks.
