[Resolved] Translated product doesn't get variations
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was unable to replicate attributes and variations for products translated into French and Spanish. Despite trying various troubleshooting methods like reprocessing translations and using WPML's troubleshooting tools, the variations were not appearing, and products could not be added to the cart. Solution: We recommended the following steps to resolve the issue: 1. Edit the product in the primary language. 2. Make a minor change to the product title, such as adding a space or a word, and then click 'Update' to save. 3. This action should resync the Advanced Translation Editor. 4. After that, retranslate the product into the other languages. 5. Check if the product variations are now appearing on the translated versions. Additionally, we found that using multiple cache plugins might cause such issues. It's advisable to deactivate cache plugins while creating content and translations until everything is set up correctly.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to publish a new product with variations. I have two translated products in French (FR) and Spanish (ES) that do not replicate the attributes and variations. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link
Symptoms:
The translated products do not have variations, and I cannot add the product to the cart as expected.
Questions:
Why are the attributes and variations not replicating for the translated products?
How can I ensure that variations are added to the translated products?
I tried different things :
change an element of main product
force translation reprocess

Thank you for contacting WPML support. While you're waiting for one of my colleagues to take this ticket, let me provide some initial troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Based on the screenshot you shared, it appears that the product variations were not successfully copied over to the translated version of the product.
To fix this, please follow these steps:
-Edit the product in the primary language.
-Make a minor change to the product title (e.g. add a space or word), then click Update to save.
-This action will resync the Advanced Translation Editor.
-After that, retranslate the product into the other languages.
Once done, check if the product variations are now appearing on the translated versions.
Hi that's true. On these products problem solved by itself...
I still have 2 other products which are published but not in public which still have issues.
Maybe I can share you an access to a staging environment so that you take a look?
Please share the access credentials in your next message so I can take a closer look. Your next message will be private, so you can share the credentials securely.
If you share the credentials to the live site, please confirm you have created a full site backup that you can restore if necessary.
Also, share the URL of the products where the problem can be seen.
Thanks, it worked I managed to get variation published.
This is not an easy way, I would prefer not to have to do manual steps to publish a product... I guess it is a bug...
Would be easier if when I publish a product it gets accordingly published in all other languages
Yes, you are correct. However, while creating content and translations it is better to deactivate the cache memory until everything is ready, then the cache will be your best ally 🙂
