Visit the page on the front-end where the string is shown to automatically register strings from that page. 4. Return to WPML->Strings Translations->Auto Register strings for translations and disable the previously enabled options. 5. Search for the strings in WPML->String Translations and translate all instances that appear.
Problem: The client's checkout page is not displaying any content when switching languages. Solution: 1. We recommend going to WooCommerce -> WooCommerce Multilingual -> Settings -> Switching languages when there are items in the cart. 2. Enable the option 'Prompt for a confirmation and reset the cart'. field. WPML automatically translates the condition IDs, which can cause the popup to appear on all language versions of the page. To resolve this, we recommend the following steps: 1. Install the JSM Show Post Meta plugin. 2. Navigate to the translated Popup edit screen. 3. Click on the "X" icon next to the
_elementor_popup_display_settings
field at the bottom of the page. 4. Save the changes. By removing the
_elementor_popup_display_settings

Problem: The client wants to display only the English language on their site and has disabled the French version. However, they have created some products in French and now see a small lock beside the English product fields, preventing them from editing the English version. Solution: 1. If the French content is still present, the client should delete all the French content. For guidance, we recommend following the instructions on how to completely remove a language from the site. 2. Alternatively, the client can: - Re-enable the French language. - Disconnect the English translation from the original French product by selecting that the English page is a translation of 'none'. - Disable the French language again. The first method will address all translations in bulk, while the second method must be applied to each product individually.
Problem: The client is unable to translate certain elements on their website, including the word 'Recommended' in a sidebar created with the Visual Sidebar Editor plugin for WPBakery Visual Composer, strings from the YARPP plugin for related posts, and the comment section.

The client is experiencing an 'Internal Server Error' when switching languages on their website after updating WPML to version 4.6.8. The issue does not occur in incognito mode. The client attempted a workaround involving the .htaccess file from a WPML errata page(https://wpml.org/errata/htaccess-is-rewritten-with-language-folder/), but it did not resolve the issue. The client discovered that the RewriteBase in the .htaccess file was incorrectly set to RewriteBase /en instead of RewriteBase /, and after correcting this and removing extra brackets, the site worked correctly.
Solution:
1. We recommend increasing the WordPress memory limit to at least 128MB, as per WPML's minimum requirements
2. Perform a full clean of the website's cache, including at the server level, to see if the issue persists.
3. Ensure that the code provided in the WPML errata page is correctly set in the functions.php file of the theme.
