This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client reported issues with their website where the translation of a page was deleted, and an error message stating 'Unfortunately, you are not allowed to edit posts of this post type' appeared. Additionally, there were concerns about the design changing post-translation, specifically non-editable background colors.
Solution:
We first verified if the client was working on the site, as changes being made could affect the translations and design. It was discovered that the issue with the translation being deleted and the error message might have been temporary or due to ongoing modifications on the site. For the design issues, particularly the non-editable background colors, we recommend checking the theme or page builder settings to ensure they are configured to allow changes to styles in translated versions. If these settings are correct and the problem persists, it might be due to a compatibility issue with the current theme or a plugin affecting the translation.
If the solution provided here does not resolve the issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems continue, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.
