This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client wants to restrict authors to only see and edit their own posts of a custom post type in the admin area, as well as translate them, but currently, authors can access all posts.
Solution:
We recommend integrating with the Toolset Access plugin to manage user roles and permissions. This plugin allows you to restrict users to only see and edit their own posts of a custom post type. For step-by-step guidance, please refer to our documentation:

Hi there,

In the admin area, we would like to show only a user's own posts (of a custom post type) if they are an author, just like WP default functionality. User should be able to translate his own posts. Instead, the user has access to all posts.

Thank you very much

Hello there,

Thanks for your contact!

There is no native option to restrict users' access to their own posts of a custom post type directly in WPML. You'll need to integrate with another system, for instance, to utilize the capabilities provided by the Toolset Access plugin (https://toolset.com/home/types-access/).

This way, users will only be able to see and edit their own posts of the specified custom post type. For more detailed information, you can refer to the documentation page here: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/how-to-use-access-plugin-to-create-editors-for-specific-language/

If you have any further questions or encounter issues, feel free to ask.

Best regards,
Mateus.

Hello there,

thank you very much for your reply.
It's a shame that WPML doesn't offer this option, as viewing other authors' posts doesn't make sense.

In any case, we'll look into other solutions.

Kind Regards
