This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: If you're experiencing issues where product images do not appear in the translated versions of your products, even though you have added translations and descriptions in the WPML translation panel, this might be due to incorrect media translation settings. Solution: We recommend checking your WPML Media Translation settings to ensure that images are properly duplicated across translations: 1. Navigate to WPML → Settings in your WordPress admin dashboard. 2. Scroll down to the Media Translation section. 3. Ensure that the options to duplicate featured images, other media, and their translations are checked. If these settings are correct and the issue persists, it might be necessary to: - Update all outdated plugins and themes. - Set the gallery system custom field to copy and update the translations. - For existing products, edit the product in the original language, re-save it, and then update the translation. This should ensure that images appear correctly in all language versions of your products.
If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your specific case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems persist, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

When I add product translations, the images don't appear in the finished product. I have images in the translation panel and I'm adding translations of their descriptions. However, when I change the store to the appropriate language, the images aren't displayed with the products, and I have to upload them manually. How do I configure this so that the images are dragged from the original product into the translation?
1.- Please share a URL of a product where the issue can be seen.
2.- Also, describe step-by-step how you are translating the product. You can attach screenshots or create a quick video (using Loom, Kommodo, or any other service) and share the link in your next message. This will help us understand the problem.
3.- Share the access credentials to the site in your next message, which I have set private, so we can reproduce the issue and double-check the WPML configuration.
Confirm you have created a full site backup that you can restore if necessary.
Here's a link to a sample product. I have the impression that even when they upload photos, they disappear.

I'm also sending a screenshot of this product in the store dashboard. Notice how it looks like it doesn't have a photo. The photo also doesn't load into the Product Feed or merchant centre.
I translate by going to the "translations" tab in wpml on my website and clicking "translate" next to the product. I fill out all the boxes for translation, and when it's 100%, I save it. Nothing else can be done. After some time, the translated product appears in the listing in the given language.

I have updated the plugins.
Check what happens, for example, with this product: hidden link

The images are not visible in the admin panel or when editing the product.
However, when viewing the product page in the store, the images are displayed.
Unfortunately, the product feed and Merchant Center show the products without images in the admin panel as if they have no images at all. Merchant Center rejects them.
Thank you for your help. I understand that for these old products, the images will no longer appear? I will add the new translations and get back to you to let you know if everything is working.
I followed the same steps in that product:
- Edited the product in Polish (default language)
- Saved the changes
- Updated the translation
- Now you can see the image in the Czech version
OK, but I added this product as a new translation. It hadn’t been translated before. I added it after the changes you introduced. That’s why I said those changes didn’t have any effect. Do I really have to translate each product twice every time for it to work? That doesn’t make sense.
No, you don't have to translate the products twice.
In the case of this product, the issue was that the Czech version needed to be updated. The rest of the products will be solved this way.
Regarding new products, the images should appear in the first translation. Just make sure to finish the translation 100% and flush any cache memory before and after translation.
