Background of the issue:
I am trying to duplicate the English page to the Polish page and translate it with WPML. The pages I am trying to translate are not available in other languages except English.

Symptoms:
The page is not loading, and it does not translate these four pages. It appears as 'in progress' in the Jobs section.

Questions:
Why does WPML not translate pages that are not translated in other languages?
How can I resolve the issue of pages appearing as 'in progress' in the Jobs section?

Also, please backup and update all WPML plugins to the latest version.

I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

Upon reviewing your website, I noticed that several third-party plugins are outdated. Could you please create a backup and proceed to update all third-party plugins, particularly WPBakery Page Builder and any others that are used on the pages you're trying to translate?

When I turn other pages, it translates without any problem. It does not translate some pages.

Thanks for your reply. I need to compare those pages—could you let me know which one is working correctly on your end?

Also, older versions of WPBakery might be missing some custom XML configurations required for proper content translation. That’s why I’m requesting you to update the plugins.

If I have not reproduced the page in other languages, this page cannot be translated.

Thank you for your patience. I’ve attempted to re-register the XML configuration for the basic shortcode, but the content still isn’t translating.

Do you have another staging site I can use for more in-depth troubleshooting? I may need to deactivate all non-essential plugins and switch themes to identify the cause.

If a staging site isn’t available, could you share a copy of your site instead? Alternatively, with your permission, I can create one using the free “Duplicator” plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/). If you’re already familiar with Duplicator, feel free to skip the setup steps and just send me the downloaded archive file.

I've reviewed the page at hidden link and removed one of the sections from the content as shown in the attached screenshot. After doing so, the translation is now displaying correctly on the Polish version: hidden link .

It appears this issue may also be affecting other posts, although the exact cause is still unclear. I’d like to escalate this to our 2nd Tier Support team for further investigation.

With your permission, I would like to create a snapshot of the site to include in the report. This will allow our 2nd Tier Support team to troubleshoot the issue in a local development environment. Once the issue is resolved, the snapshot will be deleted. Please let me know if you approve this.
