I am writing regarding an issue with my "Pay-As-You-Go" translation credits.
Recently, my website experienced a critical crash caused by a plugin conflict. To fix this, I had to restore my site to a previous version using UpdraftPlus.
The Problem: Although I had already translated and reviewed over 1,000 items (and paid for the credits), the backup restoration caused my local site to lose the connection to these completed translations.
The Current Issue: I am trying to recover these translations. However, when I attempt to use "Automatic Translation" again on the same content, the system tries to charge my credits again.
I've created an internal ticket about this case, and am waiting for our second-tier supporters to respond. I'll keep you updated when I have their reply.
Our developer has checked this issue and found out that when you sent those jobs to be retranslated from the Translation Dashboard, you selected the option 'Overwrite existing translations.' Please see the attached screenshot that shows this option. This is what caused the products to be retranslated and the credits to be charged. Please refrain from choosing this option when you send content for translation and want the translation memory from the Advanced Translation Editor to be applied. Instead, please choose the 'Leave existing translations as they are' option.
