This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue with translating elements in the Avada Library. Specifically, when translating from English to German, a post type 'Container' changes to 'Element', which results in the translation not appearing on the frontend.
Solution:
We recommend updating to the latest version of the Avada theme, as this issue has been resolved as of version 7.11.4. If you're experiencing this problem, please ensure you are using Avada theme version 7.11.4 or later. For more information on how to translate Avada Library elements, you can refer to our documentation on Using WPML with the Avada Theme.

Please note that this solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Hello Supporter,
we are botiss a company in Berlin Germany. We have been using your plugin for the long time in different websites.

With the website staging.botiss.comm, which is built on Avada Page Builder and the Avada Library are Container, Element, Column and used in our product page.

We want to translate this products, where contains normal element of avada page builder and somes global element of Avada Library. Then, the problem appeared during trying to translate the elements in Avada Library that:
- In English: The type of post is "Container"
- In German: After post's translating, the post shows another type "Element". I think it should be same type as Container like English Version. Because the translation did not show on frontend, even though the Library Container is already translated on German and Spanish.

I have a look at the code in Avada Theme but I can not find anything wrong. Therefore I would have a question to WPML that did you meet this problem with other customer ?

I found some informations in your forum but I am not sure about that.

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand the issue you're having and will try my best to assist you in this matter.

When you create a Library element of a particular type and then translate it, the specific type should also be copied to the translated element. Please check this video to understand how the type is assigned to the original and Translated elements: hidden link

Since the type of translated element is changed, it is possible that the translation preference for the library or something else is causing the issue. To get a better overview of the site and system, I kindly request you add the WPML Debug info in the next response.

Please check this article to understand how you can get the Debug info: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/

Copy the debug info and paste it into the dedicated box that you can see while leaving the next response.

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi,

Thanks for your answers but I am so sorry that I can not understand your video because it does not have sound and it is just your results as translated version on French. Your element is still Container. That is so good.

Moreover, I would like to send you our debug log information to clarify more about this issue.

As I can see that we can translate Avada Library in WPML or WordPress Editor. But I do know why the type of elements are wrong after the translation.

Pls tell us, if you need more informations.

Thanks

Hi There,
Thank you for the feedback.

In the video, I just demonstrated that the element type remains unchanged after translation.

Since it is not happening on your end, a closer inspection will be required to understand the root cause.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated.

You will find the needed fields below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.

IMPORTANT
-Please backup site files and database before providing us access.
-If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:

Looking forward to your response.

Hello There,
Thank you for sharing the credentials.

I have checked and found that the issue only happens when you manually translate the element. During manual translation, the element type isn't replicated as expected.

However, when I use the WPML Translation Editor or duplicate the element to other languages, I don't see this issue. Please check this video for a better understanding: hidden link

If you want to translate the elements manually, please consider duplicating the element and then updating the translation. You can also switch to WPML Translation Editor and update the translation directly from the Translation editor.

I hope you can understand. Please let me know if there is anything else you need help. I will be happy to assist.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hello There,
Thank you for the update.

Avada library elements work properly with WPML Editor, but for now, you need to duplicate the Element to other languages so that the type can duplicate properly.

However, I have informed our 2nd tier team to investigate why the type isn't being copied over when the Element is manually translated, rather than using the "Duplicate" function. I will surely let you know as soon as I have more information on this. Till then, please use the duplicate function to translate the element properly.

Please let me know if there is anything else you need help with. I will be happy to assist you.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
