Hi,

Welcome to WPML support. Would you please provide the debug information following the steps below?

https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support

That will help us ot know how the website is setup.

Also please check if the same thing happens on a minimal installation by following the steps below:

- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website. Or better approach will be to test this on a copy/staging version of the website to avoid any disruption of a live website.
- Switch to the default theme such as "TwentyTwenty" by going to "WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > themes".
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > Plugins" and deactivate all plugins except:
. WPML Multilingual CMS
- Check if you can still recreate the issue.
- If not, re-activate your plugins one by one and check the issue each time to find out the plugin that causes the problem.

Thanks.

Hi there,

Thanks for your message! I'm unable to open the page for debug information. I tried disabling all plugins, default theme and still issue. It looks to be in the WPML plugin.
Thanks!

Latest WPML version, latest wordpress.
Can i provide credentials privately?

Kr,
Cedric

I Cedric,

Sure, I'd appreciate it if you could give me the URL/User/Pass of your WordPress dashboard after you make sure that you have a backup of your website.
It is absolutely important that you give us a guarantee that you have a backup so if something happens you will have a point of restore.

Make sure you set the next reply as private.

Thanks.

Hi Christopher,

Do you need to make the private button visible, as i cannot see it?
We do have restore points so you can go ahead!
Thanks!

Kind regards,
Cedric

Hi Cedric,

You will need to enable the private checkbox below your reply box then a new menu will appear that you can provide the login information.

This is the end of my shift so most probably I will be able to check tomorrow.

Thanks.

Hi Cedric,

Thank you for the login information.

I followed the recommendation mentioned here:

https://wpml.org/forums/topic/cant-configure-the-wpml-plugin-sorry-you-are-not-allowed-to-access-this-page/

And now the issue is fixed. For some reason the capabilities was not set correctly. And now it is set.

Thanks.
