[Resolved] After deleting menu created with the synk function, that menu still shows
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was experiencing issues with a translated menu disappearing after a minor change and encountering problems with non-translated items after using the "Sync menus" function. Despite deleting the menu and clearing caches, the deleted menu continued to appear on the site.
Solution: 1. We confirmed that only one English menu was present and suggested creating a new specific menu for the English language. 2. We recommended assigning the new English menu as a translation of the original Swedish menu, ensuring that all menu items are correctly translated and ordered. 3. If the client continues to experience issues with the menu disappearing or non-translated items appearing after these steps, we advised opening a new support ticket for further assistance.
If this solution doesn't look relevant to your situation, please feel free to open a new support ticket with us.

I first succeeded in creating the translated menu manually. Then after a minor change directly in the menu, it disapperad, as if I had deleted it. Then I tried to use the "Synk menus" function, but many menu items showed up in Swedish (not translated). So I deleted the translated menu in order to begin again. I have deleted the WPML cache, the server chache and the browser cache. Whatever I do the deleted menu still shows. How can I get rid of the menu and try applying the synk menu actions again?
The menu might be displayed using a feature from a page builder. I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.
Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
I've examined your menu on this page: hidden link , using the English language, and I can only identify one menu. As a test, I've added another menu, and I'm not encountering any problems. Could you please attempt it again at your convenience?
Hello
Yes that is the problem. As you can see there is only one English menu (in hidden link), because I deleted the other one. But the deleted menu is still showing when you visit the site (the menu in the red band, see the image I uploaded from the beginning).
No, it is not using the Swedish menu. There are for some reason several Swedish words in the menu, but this is the deleted English menu. If you place the mouse on top of Calibration for example, you will see that most of the menu items are in English. Also if you select one of the Swedish menu items, you will be linked to the English page.
I take that last thing back. Most Swedish menu items will take you to a page in Swedish. But nevertheless, this is the deleted English menu. Switch to the Swedish version and you will see that the menu changes and only shows Swedish menu items.
Hello again
I just tried to add and save an empty translation of the Swedish menu "Toppmeny" (in hidden link), and then the menu disappeared from the site.
The other problem i still there though, that all strings are translated, but still when I "Synk" the menu there are some menu-items that are in Swedish.
I believe I have identified the issue at hand. The English Language page is currently utilizing the Swedish menu, with certain menu items being translated through String Translation. In essence, there isn't a dedicated English Menu; instead, it displays the Swedish menu with select strings translated.
To resolve this, could you kindly create a specific menu for the English Language? This would enable me to assign it to the page accordingly.
Please tell me which Swedish menu are you trying to use the "menu sync" feature and I will try to run it for you.
Yes, you are right. I created a new English menu in my stage site (not test.nordtec.se), partly using the synk function, and assigned it as a translation of Toppmeny. So now it works again. I will just have to go through the menu items and change the menu order and hierarchy and also add some menu items, that for some reason are not translated.
Thanks for pointing this out. I really hope the whole menu does not dissappear again, as it did last time.
Thanks again
