Background of the issue:
I am trying to use WPML as a translations tool. This issue started when I turned on auto translate everything. The eye symbols are new for me, and I did not have them before. The issue occurs when I click on the eye symbol beside items that I should review. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

Symptoms:
I get the error: "Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page" when I click on the eye symbol. All pages with an eye are not possible to translate.

Questions:
Why am I getting the error 'Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page'?
What do the eye symbols mean and why are they causing this error?

Hi,

Our second-tier supporter says it might be a privilege issue.
Can you try the following?

1. Take a backup of your site in case something goes wrong.

2. Temporarily deactivate WPML.

3. Create a post in the default language.

4. Save it as a draft.

5. Preview the post.

Can you see the post, or also get the error: "Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page"?

If you also encounter the error, please try the following.

We suspect a collision with the theme or another plugin might cause this problem. If possible, get your site into a minimum environment, switching to a default WordPress theme like TwentyTwenty-Four and having no plugins activated except WPML.

First, check if the problem persists when only the theme is switched to TwentyTwenty-Four (for example). If it persists, deactivate all plugins except WPML and its add-ons. Then, please check if the problem persists. If the issue persists, start by activating the plugins individually and check when the issue returns. Then, report to me which plugin was the culprit.


**** Important! Please make a full site backup (files and DB) before you proceed with those steps****


*** If your site is live, you might want to try those procedures in a staging environment or a snapshot of your site on your local server or another server. ***

I understand and I can try your suggestion.

Before I do, I would like to know if you noticed that my problem occured when I turned on translate everything automaticly?

With this knowledge, are your suggestion still the same?

Hi Itamar.

I have done your steps from your message below. Please see the results under each step.

Thre result was, that I could view the post, and after turning WPML on agian, the error still was there when clicking on the eye symbol i Pages and UX Blox.

I therefore need you to login to our shop and use your knowlwedge to find the error and fix the problem.

Note, that the error came just after turning on "Translate all pages" in WPML. It did not come after installing something else og changing something else.

Your text and my experience from each step. I have a "=>" before my text. Se below:

=> I did, test test test, se the attached pictures.

=> Yes, I did.

=> Yes, I could and it showed up fine, see the picture atteched.

=> Yes, it worked fine.

If you also encounter the error, please try the following.
=> No problems, it worked. But WPML still has the error when clicking the eye symbol in Pages and UX Blocks. Se my pictures attached.
