Hi Kor,

No problem.

I have recently installed Donation For Woocommerce 3.6.2 which on the overview said it was compatible with WPML (one of the reasons I chose this particular solution).

I have created this page:
hidden link

As I want to translate this page to Chinse, I have gone into WPML > Theme and Plugins Localization and then scanned themes and plugins for strings. This usually works a treat and enables me to target all elements (text, buttons etc). But after doing the above and searching, none of the above can be found.

As an alternative, I hvae gone in to the product page and tried to translate this page using the option on the attached screen shot. This works to target the translations, but the product changes from being a donation product to a standard Woocommerce product (i.e. 1 price, quantity option and buy now). You can see this here:
hidden link

Is there something I need to do differently to be able to translate this page in full. String translation I think would be the best option as we can then target all elements, including the 'pledge now' button.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Kind regards
James

Thanks for your reply.

I will need to closely examine your website. Therefore, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.

Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.

Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.

✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.

Thanks for your reply.

I've checked and could you confirm that the option "Donation Product" is supposed to be enabled for Donation products? This is the primary language(english) hidden link

I'm not sure why this product shows the Donation features when the "Donation Product" option is not enabled.

Hi Kor,

No, sorry - that is confusing. I also had Woo Donations enabled and a test product in there. That 'donations' product option was pulling from that.

If you go back in now, I have disabled Woo Donations and deleted the test product. You'll see this is no longer an option.

Hope this helps to track down the issue.

James

Thank you for your response.

Upon checking, it seems that the "Donation For Woocommerce" plugin is not compatible with WPML and is not listed on our compatibility page here (https://wpml.org/plugin/).

I have enabled translation for the donation campaign here: hidden link and translated it into Chinese. However, the option to target the products is not functioning correctly.

I suggest reaching out to the support team or developers of the plugin to inquire about WPML compatibility. If it isn't compatible, I recommend considering our 'Go Global' program (https://wpml.org/documentation/support/go-global-program/), where our Compatibility developers can assist in making their product fully compatible with WPML for free.

Please keep me updated on your progress with this.
