Background of the issue:
I was trying to implement translation adjustments to a page that was already translated and working. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link

Symptoms:
The title is shown in Spanish, but the body remains in English.

Questions:
Why are the translations that were working before no longer working?
How can I ensure both the title and body are properly shown in Spanish?

Something very strange is happening. I made a very simple change to the page and now most of it is getting translated except for the first heading that keeps saying "The Beginning" even though the page version is Spanish. When I go to the translations in WP Admin, "The Beginning" is not available for translation.

This page is having the initial issue I found with the other page, with the title translated and the rest of the page not being translated even though the translations are there.

I already checked the WP memory settings which I included in this ticket via the debug information.

define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M');
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );

One other piece for added background. The site was completely translated and working perfectly. Today I added a translator and she performed several changes to several pages. These pages are now affected with this issue. Feels like after translation, WPML lost track of which translations belong to the page.

I tried the trick of adding "v2" to the page title, save, remove "v2", and go to the translations, but this did not work.

Hello,

What you're experiencing seems like a possible case of missing compatibility. I see you're using kadence blocks, is that correct? Or are you using custom blocks or similar?

Do you see any change if you make a change to one of the blocks in the body of the page and save the changes + open the translation editor?

And do I understand correctly that some of the elements do get translated in the front end but others don't, yet all of them appear in the translation editor?

Let me know so I can understand correctly what we can do next.

We are currently using the free Kadence theme. We are not using their blocks yet. We do have some custom blocks, but not all the pages that are experiencing the issue have the blocks.

This one for example, are simple core Paragraph and core Heading blocks. Nothing custom here.

In that same page, I added the word UPDATED at the end of the first paragraph.

When I went to make the translations, the header "The Beginning" does not appear to be translated. Also, the word "UPDATED" appears in a separate line, even though it's part of the same paragraph.

I've attached an image of what I'm seeing in the translations page.

For added background, we're hosting the website in WordPress VIP. We are aware of the limitation with using String Translation and we're also aware of the workaround.

However, this issue has to do with the page content which I understand is separate from the limitation.

I see,

1) the "updated" is appearing separated probably because the paragraph's HTML is adding it as a separate span tag or or something like that which ends up telling the translation editor segmentator to separate it. usually checking that block in HTML mode will show you the HTML it uses and let you know why it's appearing segmentated in the editor.

2) Can you tell me if you're sending the page via WPML > Translation Management? If you're not, can you try doing it from there, select the "translate myself" option there and then go to WPML > Translations to see if the block actually appears?

If that's not the case, would it be possible for you to allow me access to the site so I can have a closer look at the problem?

I don't see a "translate myself" option in WPML -> Translation Management. However, I have been using WPML -> Translations given it's faster than clicking on the page and then on the refresh button.

I can give you access. Let me know which email address and the access you need.

I want to take this moment to ask if I can get a resource closer to my time zone, which is EST.

I am sure Alejandro is doing their best, but their time zone is so far away that communication is going very slow: I send a message, I wait a full day, Alejandro replies, they wait another full day, and so on.

This is starting to become a concern for my stakeholders and me. We are planning on having around 10 sites with WPML, some of them with a good level of traffic and important information.

If support is taking this long for this first website that is low in priority, how long could we be looking at for the more important sites?

Hello,

I'll reassign the ticket to a supporter near your timezone, to make things faster. in the meantime, can you please set the correct role to the user? it seems it's "subscriber", can you please change it to administrator?

I'm checking the site. the problem was that I needed to have 2-fa enabled to see everything.

Hello,

Everything seems ok on my end: hidden link

Can you check if I'm missing something? everything is updating normally and correctly both in the front and back-end.

In the video you provided, the issue is apparent. When you reverted the changes, around 1:32, it is shown that "The Beginning" block is not available on the English side, so there is no way for me to translate "The Beginning".

You can see that the English side has "The History of Memorial Park" and then it skips to the next paragraph.

Another one you can check is

Here the issue is worse because even though the page is translated, none of the translations come through in the front-end except for the title.
