Hi,
We have a problem in attribute pages, we have two langueges in our website: Arabic & english.
First & default language is Arabic. Our problem in Attribute pages, for example next to the color attribute in the Arabic language, the word "product" is placed, and this string is "لون Products" in the strings. How can I translate the word "product" in this string?

Hi there,
Thanks for contacting WPML support.

This is the original string, could you please edit the original taxonomy (Where the attribute is created) and check if you can replace the name from there?

Let me know please if that helps.

Kind regards,
Mohamed

Hello, thank you, this solution solved the problem in breadcrumb, but another problem still exists in the attribute page address.
As you can see in the screenshot below, the string "لون" has been translated everywhere, but it still shows Arabic in the attribute address in English!

I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin) so I can investigate this issue further.
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –

Your next answer will be private, which means only you and I have access to it.

I couldn't find more clues, so I escalated this issue to the 2nd tier support team for further investigation. I will update you once I get their reply.

The issue was fixed with the following steps:

- Removing the string from WPML > String Translation
- Resaving the original slug
- Translating the string in WPML > String Translation
- Switching the source language of the string to Arabic
- Translating again

Now the slug appears translated as you can see here: hidden link

Please check and confirm.

Hello
Thank you for your explanation, I checked the site and thank you for solving the problem.
Can you explain the steps of the solution in more detail? We want to apply these changes in the rest of the attributes, but We did not understand exactly where we should apply the changes. Is it possible to show me the places where the changes should be applied with a screenshot? Especially in the following cases:

- Resaving the original slug
- Switching the source language of the string to Arabic

Hi,

You can resave the original slug with the following steps:

- Edit the original attribute
- Resave it

The string source language can be changed with the following steps:

- Go to WPML > String Translation
- Find the string and select it
- Click the "Change the language of selected strings" button
- Select Arabic

Please check here for more details: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/how-to-change-the-source-language-of-strings/

Hi
I couldn't get anything from your solution. I did this solution for the material attribute.
According to the solution you explained, I first removed all the material strings and مادة from the wpml > string translation.
After that, I went to the attribute section again and edited and saved the مادة attribute. But when I go to wpml > string translation again, there is no string with this name material or مادة !

I'm checking again with our 2nd tier supporters and will let you know once I get their feedback.

Hi,
Thanks for your patience.

Please try the following steps:

1. Go to WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual & Multicurrency > Store URLs
2. Translate the slug there
3. Go to WPML > String Translation
4. Find the string and select it
5. Click the "Change the language of selected strings" button
6. Select Arabic

Let me know please how that goes.
