Problem:
The client experienced an issue with broken links after making changes to their website. They reverted to an earlier backup and reapplied the changes, which resolved the issue.
Solution:
We reviewed the product in the primary language and tested the language switcher to access the Dutch version. We recommended the client to try accessing the site again using incognito mode to ensure the issue was fully resolved.

Background of the issue:
I am working on a multilingual website using the WPML plugin. The primary language of the website is French, with additional versions in Dutch and English. The website is currently under development.

Symptoms:
When navigating to the Dutch version of a product page, an extra language prefix is erroneously added to the URL, causing a 404 error. For example, the intended URL 'hidden link' incorrectly redirects to 'hidden link'. This issue does not occur with the other language versions.

Questions:
How can I adjust the WPML settings to correct the URL structure for the Dutch version of the site?
What troubleshooting steps should I follow to resolve the issue of the incorrect URL prefix in the Dutch version?

Thank you for reaching out. I've examined this product in your primary language, French, using the link provided (hidden link). Subsequently, I utilized the language switcher to access the Dutch version, and I encountered no difficulties in opening the link (hidden link). There were no redirects to broken links observed.

Could you please attempt accessing it again using the incognito browser mode and check if the issue persists on your end?
