Any update? Can you please credit my spent credits to the website so I could do the translations again?

Hello,

Thank you for your patience,

I had to dig deeper about this issue, and it turns out to be more complicated than expected, and I need more information and your help to figure out a way to restore your translation.

I recorded these two videos that shows what I found and where we are stuck now :

Please watch the whole video and share anything you think could help us understand the workflow you followed, and let us know if you have a copy of the English products saved somewhere.

Hey I will review in a bit and let you know. But at the same time I don't have time to help you debug everything. I need to make these translations asap. Please refund the credits so I could do translations once again. Thank you.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to review this,

We are more than willing to help you out and even restore credits, however, we want to avoid refunding credits when the case can be fixed in another way, credits were already paid for by us to the translation engines,

So now the best approach is to upload the English Products too and link them with the LT products.

I can help you with this, but you need to provide a little more data :

1- Where did you get the LT products from if they were deleted? backup? Local database? What is the format? What did you use to import them back to staging.

2- Could you share access to the live site just to see if there is a possibility to export the English products and upload them with WPML export and import : https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-export-and-import/

3- With this plugin, we can link the original English product with its LT translation using SKUs

4- If you have taxonomies (Categories, tags...), we also need to export those too

If this still not translating the entirety of your products, we could support you with more credits to finish the job,

Thank you for your understanding and patience,

Hey, here is the answers:

1) all products where from mdsterasos.lt / they are still there, I meant that they where deleted on deckpro.eu only (LT language only). We have them on woocommerce shop and they are synced over woocommerce rest api. First time we created deckpro.eu it was only a copy of the original website mdsterasos.lt

2) Same logins to deckpro.eu as to dev.deckpro.eu should work for you.

3) Not all products have skus. Most of them should have SKUs.

4) We do, of course. But we need to connect them in some way to the original LT categories, as to keep everything LT as a base. As we will be updating LT products and will be translating updates from LT products to other languages later on. That mostly will include content of products of course.

Let me know next steps. Thank you.

Hello,

After further checking, there is a possibility to export the LT products from your dev site and import them on the live site WPML export and import : https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/wpml-export-and-import/

This can allow us to assign a specific ID (possibly SKU) to link it with other languages.

Else, if that doesn't work, can't we just create the LT products by translating the English ones under your live site to Lithuanian ? That way, we won't have to use as many credits as you will only translate to one language (EN to LT).

That would be better for you as English is the main language and you already used it as the source language for LV and PL.

Let me know if you want me to run the IMPORT/EXPORT process (I can try it on a local installation before applying it on live site), in that case, please allow me to install a couple of plugins under the live site to download a copy of it,

Hey,

Can we do that with WP ALL Import, as I need constant product updates afterwards.

I have tryed and transfered one product from origianl website. It does transferes ok, but it does not connect to other languages automaticlly. I also tryed to do it manualy, it does that okay. But as I do have around 800 products to connect, I would need an automatic way to do that.

Looking forward to your advice.

Hello,

It is not connecting, maybe because you did not choose the shared ID between products and its translations, what we call a “unique identifier”, in many cases, users can use SKU for this : https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/legacy-wpml-all-import/importing-multiple-languages-with-wp-all-import-and-wpml/#import-simple-or-variable-products

For variable products, the workflow is slightly different : https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/legacy-wpml-all-import/importing-variable-products-in-multiple-languages-with-wp-all-import-and-wpml/#troubleshooting-solutions-to-the-most-common-problems

But to make this easier on you, I can do it for you on local environment first and then apply it on live site or record a video of the workflow so you can follow, I just need your confirmation to start working on this,

Best,
