Background of the issue:
I have a project in English language and its translation is not available in either Dutch or French language. The untranslated project can still be seen on the other language pages where the recent projects are displayed. The site I need help with is hidden link.

Symptoms:
Untranslated project is visible on other language pages.

Questions:
Why is the untranslated project visible on the Dutch and French language pages?
How can I hide untranslated projects from appearing on other language pages?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support.

Looks like you need to set your post type's translation preference to "Translatable - only show translated items" in WPML -> Settings -> Post Types Translation. See attached image and https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/translating-custom-posts/ for a reference.

Regards.

Thank you for the updates. I tried to check at hidden link but looks like site isn't available.

However, can you try the following?

1) Take a full backup of your site and database before proceeding.
2) Deactivate all plugins except WPML.
3) Switch to a standard theme like 2024.
4) Check for the issue if it still happens.

Please let me know and I'll try my best to help you further on the matter.

Thank you for the updates.

I need to take a closer look at your site. So I request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP), preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Your next answer will be private, to share this information safely.

Also provide detailed steps to reproduce the issue and links to pages in the admin and on the frontend.

IMPORTANT: Please take a complete backup of the site to avoid data loss. I may need to activate/deactivate plugins also.

See https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/ for details on privacy and security.
