On the WOO checkout page (built with Avada), 2 correctly translated strings (from ESP to ENG and FRE) are displaying in the default language.
1) "Suscríbeme a la lista de correo para estar enterad@ de las novedades (Recomendado)"
2) "Comentarios"

Hi there,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support.

I’m Prosenjit from the WPML Development Team, and I’ll be happy to assist you with this issue.

In cases like this, the most common reason is that the actual field label has not been registered or selected for translation. Let’s first make sure the label is properly included in String Translation.

Please follow these steps:

- Go to WPML → String Translation.
- Scroll down and click on “Not seeing strings that you are looking for?”
- Click on “Translate texts in admin screens” (Admin Texts Translation).
- Once the page loads, search for the field label you want to translate.
- If the label appears:
-- If the status says “Not included in String Translation”, select it and click “Add to String Translation.”
-- If it already says “Included in String Translation,” you can proceed to the next step.

- Go back to WPML → String Translation and translate the string.
- Save the translation and check the frontend.

If the label is still not showing translated on the frontend, please continue with the following steps:

- Go to WPML → Support → Troubleshooting.
- Scroll down and click “Show custom MO files pre-generation dialog box.”
- Then go to WPML → Theme and Plugin Localization.
- A popup will appear — click “Generate MO files.”

Wait until the process finishes.

After that, please clear your website cache, any server-side cache (if applicable), your browser cache and then check the frontend again. The field label should now appear translated.

Please try these steps and let me know the result. I’ll be happy to continue assisting you if needed.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi Prosenjit
Sorry for the delayed reply, somehow I missed this email!

Thanks for the instructions. I followed them and:

1) "Suscríbeme a la lista de correo para estar enterad@ de las novedades (Recomendado)"
--> was included in String translation

2) "Comentarios"
--> was not included in String translation

Then I found out that both strings (Castillian) were set as "English".
So firstly I changed their default language to Castillian, then translated the strings and regenrated the MO files.

Result:
1) Shows up translated on the front end
2) Nope, still untranslated on the front end..

Hi there,

I hope you’re doing well, and sorry for the delayed response due to the weekend.

Thank you for the update. It looks like we were able to resolve one of the string translation issues, which is great. For the remaining one, I’d like to take a closer look to better understand what might be causing it.

I tried accessing your site, but each time I received the message:
“This site can’t be reached – barcelonatangoamigo.com took too long to respond.”

Could you please confirm if there are any country-based restrictions, firewall rules, or other access limitations applied to the site that might be blocking access from my location? If so, please let me know what needs to be done to allow access.

It would also be very helpful if you could share login access to the site, so I can investigate the remaining issue directly. I’ve enabled the private reply box so you can securely share the credentials.

Once I have access to the site, I’ll begin the investigation and do my best to identify the cause and help resolve the issue.

Looking forward to your response.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi there,

Thank you for sharing the access. I was able to access your site after connecting through a VPN.

When I checked String Translation, I found that the main “Comentarios” string had been left untranslated, and its source language was incorrectly set to English. I corrected the source language to Castilian and then translated the string into English and French(used the existing translation).

After that, I refreshed the checkout page, and the label started appearing correctly translated in each language. Please check the attached screenshot.

At this point, all texts in the checkout form now appear correctly translated in each language.

Regarding the notification emails, it is possible that the notification option is currently disabled in your WPML.org account settings. Please check the following:

- Log in to your WPML.org account
- Go to the Preferences section
- Make sure the option “Send me an email when I receive a reply to a support question” is enabled

Please let me know if you need anything else — I’ll be happy to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi Prosenjit
Thank you so much for the workaround, it works well now 🙂
I also checked the notification settings and they were correctly set, still I don´t receive any emails (only the clean-up robot emails, thanks to which I got to know you replied to me).
How can I solve this?
Thanks

Hi There!

I’m glad to hear that the workaround helped!

Regarding the notification issue, I’ll pass it on to our Systems team for further checking. As soon as I have any update, I’ll make sure to let you know. You’ll receive the update either through this forum thread or via the email associated with your WPML account.

Since the main issue is now resolved, feel free to mark this thread as resolved. Of course, if you have any other questions or concerns, just let me know — I’ll do my best to help.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
