Hi Hugo, Multillingual Blog doesn’t support translating Custom Fields. Custom fields are something extra and are available only in some theme or you can add them yourself (for example using the Types plugin). You will see custom fields below you post editor.

WPML doesn’t translate the content. You provide the translations.
You need to renew it after the first year if you need access to new versions and our support. You can also upgrade to Lifetime version but paying the difference only. You will get a notification 30 days before your license expires. With the Lifetime subscription no renewal is needed.
But this theme wasn’t listed on our theme compatibility list so it means that it wasn’t tested by us.

1. WPML doesn’t translate your contents automatically. So the answer is ‘yes’.
2. Your WPML will still work but we cannot predict how it will behave with feature WordPress updates. Without renewing WPML you will not be able to access our support forum help either. You can also consider upgrading to Lifetime. If you do this before your current subscription expires you pay only the difference.

Hi, my license is just about to expire in 10 days. I have the Blog version.
I can renew saving 50% or I can upgrade by paying the difference (50 USD). The question is, If I upgrade NOW when my subscription will expire? In 10 days or a year after? I don’t want to pay 50 USD for only 10 days, nor I want to pay first 15 then 50. So how does it work?

Francisco, our developers say that upgrading doesn’t change the expiry date so maybe my suggestion was wrong. Let us simulate such a case in our testing environment to be 100% sure how it works.
From all I’ve read, it looks like WPML is the best option for me to create a Multi-Region, Multi-Language site with minimum maintenance requirements.
However, I need to try out the plugin, check the Installation and Setup process, check how easy/difficult to maintain it is, if there are conflicts with our themes or plugins, etc.
Do you by any chance have a Trial/Limited version which I can use to test all this before purchase ? I dont need all the features, I mainly need to test if the Content Management of the Mutli-setup is going to work for us or not.

the person (or the company) who bought the WPML is the owner. But WPML is licensed under GPL so once installed in your customers’ sites it can be used forever, this is ok. But they won’t have access to our support forum and future updates.
What I’d like to ask is: can I publish pages that don’t have a default language version? So let’s say English is the default language on the site, but I’d like to post a page only in Spanish. is this possible, without having any kind of reference to an English version on the site?

It is not present on our theme compatibility list but it only means that we didn’t test it.
You should translate your widgets anyway.
