I'm running into 3 issues trying to translate a website that uses Full site editing:
1. When I try to translate template parts or navigation menus, I can translate them, however, it also creates a new empty post in my post list containing each of the elements I have just translated. How can I avoid this and can I translate these posts?
2. I have some posts that are fully translated, however, the status always stays on "Refreshing translation status" and won't show on the front-end.

3. How do we mark a translation as "Completed" instead of "In progress"

Hello There,
Thank you for contacting WPML Support.

I'm taking over this ticket and will be happy to assist,

1) As I'm not sure about the empty template that you're talking about, will it be possible for you to share more information about that? If you can capture the issue on a video and share that in the next response, that will be really helpful in understanding the issue.

Since you're developing the site in FSE mode, please make sure that the Templates are translated as per the documentation below.

2) The translation status can remain in an "in-progress" state if there's an interruption happens before the translation is fully completed. Could you please follow the instructions mentioned in the guide below and check if that helps to solve the issue?

Please let me know the update. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit

Hi,

I tried following the steps above. I cancelled the jobs, edited an archive page template (project), went into translation management and added it, then translated it and still the page template doesn't show the correct one. Instead, it shows the default archive page template. See a video here: hidden link

How can I translate this page template?
Thank you,
Dominic

Hello Dominic,
I hope you're doing well. Sorry for the delay in responding as I was on vacation.

Thank you for sharing the video. While checking the video, I noticed that Object Caching is enabled on your site. Could you please clear the object caches and check if that helps to show the correct contents on the English version of the page?

If the issue persists even after that, a closer inspection will be required to understand the root cause. I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated.

You will find the needed fields below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.

IMPORTANT
-Please backup site files and database before providing us access.
-If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:

Looking forward to your response.

Best Regards,
Prosenjit
