Background of the issue:
I am using advanced translation editor in WPML. I inserted line breaks
's in an Elementor Widget. It's a Table CELL, where I can enter HTML Code.

Symptoms:
In the Translation there are no
's and when I enter them manually the
are shown in the page view.

Questions:
How can I switch to HTML Mode?
How can I get my line breaks?

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to help you to resolve the issue. Sorry for the late response because of the weekend and holidays.

Please try the following steps after a full site backup {mandatory} and make sure the issue exists or not.

1) Upgrade to the latest version of WordPress (6.6.1)
2) Upgrade to the latest version of WPML (4.6.13 series)
3) Upgrade to the latest version of Elementor plugins (3.23.4)
4) Clear all types of caches
5) Update the page in original language
6) Update the page in original language

If you are still having the problem, please share a couple of screenshots or a screen cast for better the understanding of the issue.

Hi Bigul, I updated all Plugins and the problem still exists. But I can share more information: The Elementor Widget we are using is from Brainstorm Force Ultimate Adonis for Elementor. The Table Widget. We have the Problem in a Cell. You can enter HTML Code in there. It is not Possible to create line breaks with the ENTER Key, you must use a <br> Html Element.

Now we have 3 Lines divided with 2 <br> at the cell in German. When we start the translation in Englisch, The translation is okay and it shows the 3 Lines. Same in French. The only problem we have is in Spanish. There it dos not Recognize the <br> and all is in one line. I deleted the Language files, changed something at German and translating again. Same result.

It's linke the Spanish Engine has a bug.

Thank you for the login information and the details. The *Aus Metall....* cell text is showing the expected results in the Elementor edit screen and WPML Translation Editor after I update the Spanish translation. Please check the attached images for more details and let us know your feedback.

Just to make sure, does it happen with the Spanish template each time when you update the original language template?

Sorry, Please have a look now. I added a new Line at the end: <br>Franks Text in German. Then I started the English Translation (all okay). and the Spanish Translatio. Spanish is again all in one line.

Thank you for the updates. This may be related to the following known issues. After a site backup, please try the workaround suggested in the errata and let us know your feedback.

Also, please upgrade to the latest Ultimate Addons for the Elementor plugin version.

I updated Ultimate Adonis. This doens't help.

I check the setting in the upper Right corner. This is already active. This doesn't help.

Translations in EN and FR are okay. Problem is only with SP.

Have you seen, that all lines breaks are there. Above the line with all Content.

Please, please report this issue to your Development. We need a solution.

Thank you for the updates. Please check the attached image. The *I prefer bigger segments* option is still enabled now. So can you please try it again?

If the issue exists, please select the *Use the previous version of the Advanced Translation Editor* option and make sure the bug exists or not.

Hi Bigul,

it was already set to Bigger segments and already set to Previous version of ATE. I set it to "latest version of ATE" now (see Screenshot). So we have all options tried.

I added a new line, deleted the Spanish Transklation checked the English Translation (okay!!!) and started the Spanish translation (see >Screenshot Still with error.

Hi Frank,

Thank you for the feedback. This requires further testing. Please allow me to make a duplicator copy of your site using the Duplicator plugin(https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/) for debugging the issue on my local server. So we can troubleshoot the bug without affecting your live site.

Hi Bigul,

this will not work. Another supporter from WPML already tried it. We have other open issues. I think the site is too big. I even created an updraft clone, but this is very very slow. The other Supporter created a test site and we could reproduce the problem there.

Sorry. If you need Ultimate Elements for Elementor I can create a download for you from my server.

One request. I have created a test site in our Sandbox Server for further debugging of this bug. Reproducing the issues in a fresh/minimal installation will help us a lot in debugging and also we can troubleshoot the issue without affecting your sites. Please try the following steps and make sure the bug exists or is not on the sandbox site. Thank you for your kind understanding.

1) Click this URL to hidden link
2) Install & Configure Elementor, Elementor Pro and Ultimate Elements for Elementor plugins
3) Configure WPML like your live site and activate WPML add-ons
4) Create a Post with similar content and translate it into Spanish

Hi Bigul,

I have installed the PLUGINS and - hopefully- configured WPML like on our site. Now We need to have a few credits for automatically translation. Can you please activate this?

I have created a page "TABELLE" in German and configured a Table with a cell with <br>'s in. it. This has to be translated now. So after having credits, you can Start the translation and check, if we get the problem in the same way as at my site.

If not, it might be possible to Clone my site to you installation with Updraft Plus, if your installation as enough disk space.
