This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You have translated your pages using Elementor, and they are marked as translated, but they display in English instead of the expected language. In the revisions, only English is visible, despite previously working correctly.
Solution:
This issue often arises from a mismatch between the method used for translation and the editor WPML expects to be used. Here are the steps to resolve this:
1. Open one of the affected pages in the default language.
2. In the right sidebar, locate the “Translation” section.
3. Check if it indicates that the page is translated via WPML Translation Editor.
4. If it does, switch to the WordPress editor so you can continue using Elementor for translations.

Note: Using both Elementor manually and the WPML editor can cause this type of issue.

I have translated through my Elementor all my pages, and all of them are marked as translated, but when I enter them, they are in English when in the past they were okay and in my other language. How is this possible? In the revisions, I see only English too when I know it was working!

Hello,

This usually happens when there is a mismatch between how the page was translated and which editor WPML expects to be used.

From your description, it sounds like pages were edited manually with Elementor, but WPML is still set to use the WPML Translation Editor (ATE/CTE) for those pages.

In that case:

- WPML treats the content as needing translation via its editor
- Any changes saved in the default language can overwrite/sync content
- The translation then appears in English (default language), even if it was previously translated manually

This is why it looked correct before, but later reverted.

To fix or verify this, please check:

- Edit one affected page in the default language
- In the right sidebar, look for the “Translation” section
- Check if it says the page is translated via WPML Translation Editor

If yes, you will need to change the switch to WordPress editor adn then you can use Elementor to translate content.

You can read more about this here:

Important: Mixing both methods (Elementor manual + WPML editor) will lead to exactly this kind of issue.

Please let me know if this helps.

Regards,
Dražen
