Hi Stefan,

My name is Olexander, and I’m a developer from the ATE team.

Thanks for reporting this — I’ll take a look at your case and start checking what might be causing the issue with the Payment & Maintenance tab and your credits visibility.

Could you please confirm which website this issue is related to? I see multiple sites in your account, so having the exact URL will help me investigate быстрее.

I’ll get back to you shortly with an update.

Best regards,
Olexander

Thanks for the details.

I checked your site from our side and I don’t see any failed requests coming from hidden link, so there are no obvious errors in our logs.

This type of issue can sometimes happen if the editor widget doesn’t load properly in the browser (for example due to a JavaScript error or blocked request).
Could you please check the following:
• Open the page and press F12 → Console tab
• Try to open the Advanced Editor again
• See if there are any red errors
• Also check the Network tab for any failed requests

If possible, please share a screenshot or a HAR file — that would help us identify the issue much faster.

Regarding the credits usage (~600 EUR):

We can definitely review this for you and provide a detailed breakdown of how the credits were used. I’ll start checking this separately and will get back to you with more details.

Thanks for your help!

Best regards,
Olexander

Hi,

Thanks for sharing the screenshot — that helps a lot.

I can see that one of the requests is returning a 403 error, which usually means the request is being blocked before it reaches our system.

Could you please share:
• Which browser and version you are using?
• Whether you are using any VPN or proxy?

Also, could you try the following:
• Open the page in incognito/private mode
• Try a different browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox)
• Make sure your browser is up to date
• If you are using a VPN, try disabling it or switching to another network/IP

Clearing cache usually doesn’t affect 403 errors, but trying incognito mode can help rule out extension-related issues.

Let me know if the issue persists after trying these steps.

In parallel, Nik also checking the credit usage and will get back to you with more details.

Best regards,
Olexander

Stefan

in my first Screenshot I wa susing Chrome browser under Windows (latest version).

I tried now under Edge in incognito mode with same problem. See attached screenshot.
I amnot using VPN, just my normal Work computer Windows 11 64 Bit.

Let me know if the Firewall may block a certain port needed for this service?

Hi,

Thanks for the detailed information and for testing in different browsers — that’s very helpful.

I checked the request shown in your screenshot (wpml-content-stats), and this specific 403 error should not directly affect the Payment & Maintenance tab. So it looks like there may be another underlying issue.

To investigate this further, I see two possible options:

Option 1:
Please share a HAR file (you can upload it to Google Drive and send me the link). This will allow me to see all requests and identify what’s being blocked.

Option 2:
Provide temporary WordPress admin access, and I can check the issue directly on your site from my side.

Either option will help us quickly pinpoint the root cause.

Also regarding your question — yes, in some cases a firewall or security system can block specific requests, but we need to confirm exactly which request is failing before making conclusions.

Let me know what works best for you 👍

Best regards,
Olexander

Thanks for sharing the access — I’ve checked the issue directly on your site.

I can confirm that the Payment & Maintenance tab is not loading, so this is not related to your browser or local setup. It looks like something on the site (possibly a plugin or configuration) is interfering with the expected behavior.

We’ve already identified the issue and are now working on it together with the WPML team. I’ll keep you updated as we make progress.

Regarding the credit usage:

We also found additional cases where translations were duplicated. We’re currently reviewing everything carefully and will make sure to refund the credits used for those duplicated translations.

We’ll continue investigating and I’ll update you as soon as we have more information.

Thanks for your patience.

Best regards,
Olexander

Thanks for your patience.

I wanted to let you know that we have now restored 100,000 credits to your organization balance.

Regarding the issue with the Payment & Maintenance tab — we’re still working on it. The case has been passed to the WPML team for further investigation, and we’ll keep you updated as soon as we have more information.

Best regards,
Olexander

Stefan

Thank you for your update.
Regarding the usage credit:
Currently it still shows 577 Euro of expenses.
I was expecting maximum 10 to 30 Euro of expenses during the last month on our website.
I need to have a detailed list of used credits in order to investigate who has been using these credits. It seems this has been hacked somehow.

Thank you for your understanding.

Thank you for your patience. To provide full transparency regarding the charges, I am attaching the complete usage report for the period of April 1st to April 9th.
Link to report: hidden link

After analyzing the data, here is a summary of where the credits were used:

Main Usage (Staging Site): The vast majority of the credits (1,826,180 credits) were consumed by the domain e2bagy64ec-staging.onrocket.site. This appears to be a staging or development environment where extensive translation work was performed.

Production Site: The domain barbierielectronics.com used only 22,888 credits, which aligns more closely with your expected normal usage.

Duplicates: We identified some technical repetitions in the logs. As a gesture of goodwill and to ensure you only pay for unique translations, we have already credited 100,000 credits back to your account.

Summary by Domain:

e2bagy64ec-staging.onrocket.site: ~1.82M credits (3,217 entries)

barbierielectronics.com: ~23k credits (48 entries)

Other/System (#): ~10k credits

The attached file contains every single job ID, timestamp, and the specific URL (Permlink) that was translated. This should help you identify the exact source of these translation requests.

Please let us know if you need further assistance with this investigation.

Best regards,
Olexander

Hi,
I've identified the issue affecting the Payment & Maintenance tab and applied a fix directly to your site.
The problem was caused by WordPress output buffers interfering with the ATE widget script, preventing it from loading correctly.

File modified: wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/classes/ATE/proxies/Proxy.php

Fix applied:

  while ( ob_get_level() > 0 ) {   //Fix
      ob_end_clean();
  }
  include $script;
  die();

We will include this fix in our next release. Thank you for raising it.

The Payment & Maintenance tab should now be working correctly. Please let me know if you experience any further issues.

P.S. I also noticed an error in the PHP error log. It is not related to WPML, but to the hidden link">WP Download Manager plugin. I suggest fixing it:

10-Apr-2026 17:23:37 UTC] WordPress database error Unknown column 'status' in 'where clause' for query SELECT * FROM wp_ahm_cron_jobs
