[Escalated to 2nd Tier] reporting an on-going bug that I find too obvious to ignore
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
Our wait time is higher than usual, please make sure you are meeting the minimum requirement - https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements before you report issues, and if you can take a look at current Known Issues - https://wpml.org/known-issues/. Thank you.
Background of the issue:
I am trying to make WPML work as expected on my website, hidden link.
Symptoms:
I am experiencing an ongoing malfunction with WPML, which I find too obvious to ignore. After making changes in ATE, I notice that sometimes those changes do not show up in the translated page. So, I have found a workaround to reset WPML by making a small change in the page title. After that action is done, I get some rows with French text to be translated back to French text. This happens mainly with the images texts.
Questions:
What could be causing the ongoing malfunction with WPML?
How can I resolve the issues to achieve a bug-free WPML experience?
When are you going to fix it? This has been an on-going issue for more than a year, and yet it is very much active.

Hello!
What you are experiencing is caused by a "different job ID" assigned in the database than the one from the "edit" of the translation.
This could happen for many reasons: server-side cache, query caching, changes made in the background via cronjobs (not necessarily visual changes, but changes in the database) and many more scenarios.
Here's the thing, the translations are done by "sessions" ("Translation Jobs") and these sessions finish when you click the complete button. You can edit it right away and it will still work and update everything because there hasn't been any change, thus the last session is still the same as before OR because you maybe fixed a typo on that page and the system created a new session (Translation Job).
When you make a change to anything in your page, whether it's visual or not, that will require a different session on your end and that means that in those cases you should send it again to translate. It's Probably faster to do in WPML > Translation Management, once you send it there you can open it either in WPML > Translations or from the page as you did before.
Thanks to this support Ticket I'll try to see if we can improve this workflow to make it smoother 🙂 I can't promise anything at the moment But I'll give it a try since we're always looking for ways to improve.
Please give me access to your site so I can see this problem when translating this page: hidden link.
I'll also consult with Alejandro about it.
If you need further help with this, please share the access details to your site with me. I'm enabling a private message for the following reply.

When I checked the Lanaudiere Home Alarm System page, I could see that its translation into French was 100% complete. Please see the attached screenshot.
What are the steps I need to take to see this problem?
In other words, what do I need to do to see that making a change in ATE is not reflected on the front end?
