This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was unable to see the French translations on their Elementor pages, and the media titles and tags remained in German. Additionally, they could not translate the footer template and received an error message stating that a footer already exists.
Solution:
1. We identified that the site was missing the String Translation plugin. After installing this plugin, the translations displayed correctly.
2. For translating media information such as alt tags, descriptions, and titles, you can do this manually via WPML -> Media Translation. Alternatively, to automate this process, navigate to WPML -> Settings -> Media Translation section and enable the last checkbox. This setting allows media information to be translated along with the content.

If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also advise checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am trying to use the automated translation feature of WPML with DeepL to translate my site, which includes Elementor pages, templates, and picture descriptions. I can see and approve the translations in the German/French table. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link.

Symptoms:
When I open the Elementor page, I only see the original German translation instead of French. Pictures are duplicated but still have the German title/tags. Templates like the footer cannot be translated, and I receive a message that a footer already exists when trying to select it for the whole website.

Questions:
Why are the Elementor pages not displaying the French translation?
Why are the picture titles and tags not translated?
Why can't I translate the footer template, and why do I get a message that a footer already exists?

Thank you for sharing the credentials again; this time, I was able to access the site.

The site was missing the String Translation plugin. Once installed, the translation appeared correctly.

Please let me know if there is something else we can help you with.

Thank you so much for your help!!

The last open question: How do I translate my media information (alt, description, title)? I downloaded the add on "media translation".
Is there any way I can translate them automatically?
Or do I have to translate them manually?
If I have to translate them manually, do I have to the manually select these images in elementor? (because of this hint: Jegliche Änderungen, die Sie am Text hier vornehmen, haben keine Auswirkungen auf vorherige Veröffentlichungen dieser Medien auf Ihrer Website. Diese bearbeitete Version erscheint nur, wenn Sie sie in der Bibliothek auswählen und einbetten.)

Hi,

You can translate the media information in WPML -> Media Translation (manually) or you can translate it with the content if you go to WPML -> Settings -> Media Translation section -> The last checkbox allows you to translate the media information while the content is being translated 🙂
