So I'm exporting all the products with All Export / Import Pro including all the required plugins. In 2 languages.
Everything is setup. Although I'm having 3909 products that are now all Dutch, when I'm running WPML Import Export it does the first 100 in the proces and then everything stops although it doesn't connect them lik on the old website.
I'm exporting everything that can possibly be exported from All Export / Import and then I'm importing it locally through Local (on Mac). This works way faster for me.
I can see the identifier WPML Translation ID that connects the products (NL / EN) within the CSV file. It should work as the link as the translated product.
But when I run the WPML Import Export plugin it simply stops at 200. It's like it tries to do too much in a too short time. You can see it run up to 200 very fast and then it simply stops.
Where can I change how fast it does this? Because now it cannot complete anything. I actually stops working at 100 products. It almost immediately crashes the local server. There is also no way to continue. Then it just stops immediately.
I understand the issue you're having and will try my best to assist you in this matter.
Based on the screenshot, it appears that the export file has been set up correctly. I trust that you've also appropriately mapped the custom fields during the import process, as the import operation within the WPML Export Import plugin was initiated correctly. However, given that the import process stopped after a certain number of imports, it suggests that there is an underlying issue blocking further progress.
Have you tried deactivating all other plugins except for WPML and its add-ons, along with the WP All Import plugin?
If the issue persists even after that, to investigate further, I recommend enabling the WordPress Debug log to check for any errors that might have been logged due to this interruption. For instructions on how to enable the WordPress Debug log, please visit this link: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/debugging-wpml/
If you can trace any errors in the log file, please copy and share them in the next response. I will check and let you know what to do next.
With moving the website from Local to Hostinger the translation process seems to work. However, categories for both languages have been destroyed during that process. Is there any fix to that?
Glad to hear that everything works fine while moving to another server.
If you have WooCommerce Multilingual installed on the site where you performed the Import operation, the categories on the translated product should be organized accordingly. But, since you're having some issues with the categories, could you please try the steps below and see if they resolve the problem?
- Navigate to WooCommerce > WooCommerce Multilingual > Categories tab.
- At the bottom of the page, there is a button to synchronize category assignments. Please click on this button and wait for the process to complete.
This action might rectify the issue if the categories are not correctly assigned to the translated products.
However, if the issue persists, I would appreciate it if you could provide more details about the problem with the categories. Sharing relevant screenshots or a video that explains the issue would be extremely helpful. I will review the information and advise you on the next steps.
Looking forward to your response.
Best regards,
Prosenjit
