This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client reported that the 'add to cart' button on category pages was displaying in Slovenian instead of English, despite being correctly translated in the WPML string translation and displaying correctly in the shop page.

Solution:
We suggested the client to first switch to the parent Divi theme from their customized child theme to check if the issue persists, emphasizing the importance of backing up the website and trying this on a staging site first. If the problem continued, we recommended:
1) Rescanning the theme, WooCommerce, and any other relevant plugins to check for untranslated strings.
2) Deactivating all plugins except for WPML, String Translation, WCML, and WooCommerce, and then switching to a standard theme like 2024 or 2021 to isolate the issue.
3) Reactivating plugins one by one to identify any conflicts, and then switching back to the original theme to see if it causes the issue.

If these steps do not resolve the issue or if they seem outdated or irrelevant to your current setup, we highly recommend checking related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
I have add to cart translated in string translation
hidden link

And it is translated ok in my store

Also english version is showing ok in the shop page
hidden link

But category pages show ADD TO CART in slovenian language
hidden link

Symptoms:
On the category pages, the 'add to cart' button is showing in Slovenian language instead of the correct translation.

Questions:
Why is the 'add to cart' button not showing the correct translation on category pages?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML support.

Such issues usually happen due to a conflict or theme not recognizing the translation. I see that you're using a child theme of Divi, perhaps customized.

Can you please try switching to the parent Divi theme and check again?

IMPORTANT: Please take full backup of your website and database beforehand.

It is highly advised to try this on a staging/dev site first, so your live website isn't compromised.

If issue persists, then please try following:

1) Rescan theme, WooCommerce and any other plugin which is bringing this string. Usually it comes from WooCommerce but chances are other accompanying plugins may also have a part. Then search in String Translation and see if any new strings of the same are added, translate and recheck.
2) If issue continues to appear, then please dig further by deactivating all plugins except WPML, String Translation, WCML and WooCommerce.
3) Switch to a standard theme like 2024 or 2021.
4) Check for the issue if it still happens.
5) Then start activating plugins one by one while keep checking for the issue. This way you 'll be able to pinpoint a conflict when & where it starts creating the problem.
6) If after activating all plugins you see that it still works fine, then switch to your theme and see if that's causing it.

Please let me know your findings and I'll try my best to help you further on the matter.

Regards.

P.S.: I'll be off over the weekend and 'll be able to attend on Monday.
