Background of the issue:
My site's main language is Danish, with English, German, and Spanish as secondary languages. I want to automatically translate content to Spanish from English instead of Danish.

Symptoms:
Currently, I can only send the translation from English to Spanish manually, not automatically.

Questions:
How can I set WPML to automatically translate Spanish content from English instead of Danish?

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us.

While you wait for my colleague to take over the ticket, let me try to help you with the issue quickly.

It is not possible by default, one way would be to reset WPML and then set your WPML default language as Spanish and then translate.

Or you can try to go to WPML > Translation Management, in source language choose Spanish and then find post and send them to automatic translation.

Regards,
Drazen

In that case, is it possible to set spanish to not be automatically translated, and then make a cronjob to send it for translation from english?

Hi,

unfortunately, that's not possible. At the moment Translate Everything translates into all languages and you can't skip one.

What you're asking for would require a lot of custom coding, which we cannot support.
