By manual translation, do you use the steps below? https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/ Or do you go to WP Dashboard > WPML > Translations and use the XLIFF import/export feature? (screenshot) After clarifying that, I will need to know what you do exactly and what the result is.
