I’m experiencing an issue with WPML on a website where I cannot access or edit translations properly.
Current situation:
I am using WPML with the Advanced Translation Editor enabled.
In the pages overview, I only see a refresh icon instead of the gear or pencil icon.
When I click it, I am redirected to the translation queue.
Problem:
In the translation queue, I see buttons like “Edit”, but when I click “Edit”, nothing happens and I receive the error:
“The translator could not be assigned to the job.”
What I want:
I simply want to translate pages manually (i want to use the automatic button in the manual editor) like usual via the + or pencil icon)), without using a translation queue or assigning translators.
Questions:
Why are my pages stuck in the translation queue?
How can I remove them from the queue and regain normal editing access?
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as I’m currently blocked from editing translations.

the "refresh" icon means there's an "update" made to the original pages so the translations should be updated.
If you can't access the editor is because you either used the classic editor and didn't finish the job then, there is an error of sorts, like a conflict that prevents the advanced translation to open or something similar.
If you want, If you allow me access and a link to the page that you tested and had issues with, I can try to figure out what's the problem and hopefully find a solution to it.

Hello,
Could you try again please? there were several issues in the database, some things like indexes or table columns were missing so I fixed that and then tried to translate a few posts that were in need of update and they worked normally now.
Give it a try and if it doesn't work for you, please send me the post type and the name of the content so i can run some tests with it directly.
Thank you for taking a look. It still doesn’t seem to be working.
What I would like is to be able to edit the translations both automatically and manually. Previously, this was never an issue, and I also never ended up in the translation queue — which is now happening every time. Before, I could simply translate line by line or automatically translate all empty fields.
For example, I would like to translate/update the following page into English: hidden link
At the moment, when I click the refresh icon for a page (language), it automatically places it in the translation queue. However, when I then click edit in the translation queue, I get the error message:
“The translator could not be assigned to the job.”
Ideally, I would prefer that it doesn’t go into the translation queue at all, and that I can immediately add or edit the translation myself.
I fixed it for you and now you can access the translation editor without issues. However if you encounter a situation where the editor is not opening but you go to the translated language instead, please either send the page via WPML > Translation dashboard or edit the page in the original language, add a character to the title, save and then try to translate it again. this only needs to be done once.
