Background of the issue:
I added a new menu item in Appearance -> Menus and used WP Menus Sync. After adding the new menu item and synchronizing, I noticed an issue. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link
Symptoms:
WP Menus Sync wants to add an item which has already been there for years. I expected to see nothing new to synchronize on WP Menus Sync, but instead, I got 'Add item' which has already been there for years.
Questions:
Why does WP Menus Sync want to add an item which has already been there for years?
Maybe the problem is that the 'Email Encoder - Protect Email Addresses' plugin is incompatible with WPML. But as long as you don't give me a compatible plugin with the same functionality, I cannot disable a plugin which I regard as a security plugin.

Using the menu sync feature is indeed the recommended approach to translate the newly added menu item into the navigation menus of your translated languages. The menu sync displaying previously added items is likely for reference purposes.
