This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You have a WooCommerce website with English as the main language and Finnish as the secondary language. You expect WooCommerce strings to be in Finnish when viewing the site in Finnish, but they are displayed in English on both the English and Finnish pages.
Solution:
If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend rolling back to a previous version of WooCommerce that supported Finnish translations, and then updating back to the latest version. This process can help restore the automatic Finnish translations for WooCommerce strings. Additionally, some strings might require manual sending for translation. Background of the issue:
I have a WooCommerce website where the main language is English and the secondary language is Finnish. I expect WooCommerce strings to be in Finnish when viewing the site in Finnish.

Symptoms:
WooCommerce strings are displayed in English on both the English and Finnish pages, instead of being automatically translated to Finnish.

Questions:
How can I ensure WooCommerce strings are automatically translated to Finnish on the Finnish page without manually translating each string?

Thanks for contacting us. Could you tell me a little bit more about the string that you're referring to? Maybe you can include some screenshots or links? Some strings might need to be sent for automatic translation manually, as explained here https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/#translating-strings-using-wpml

I already fixed this. The WooCommerce translations just stopped working at some point of the developement. I rolled back to previous WooCommerce version which automatically installed the finnish translations and then updated back to the newest version.
