This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
You are trying to use the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE) in WPML for translating pages, but when you attempt to edit translations or create new ones, it opens the regular WordPress editor instead of the ATE.
Solution:
We found that the issue might be specific to certain pages, such as your Contact page, which was set to use the regular WordPress editor. To resolve this, you can switch the editor for these pages to the WPML Translation Editor. Here’s how you can do it:
1. Open the page in question within the WordPress dashboard.
2. Look for the option to change the editor type to WPML Translation Editor.
3. Apply this change to any other pages where you face the same issue.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also advise checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
