This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue with automatic translation from Japanese to Simplified Chinese after updating WPML plugins. Japanese to English and Japanese to Thai translations work fine, but Simplified Chinese does not.
Solution:
We recommend checking the language mapping for Simplified Chinese by following these steps:
1. Go to WPML > Languages and click on the Edit Languages link in the 'Site Languages' section.
2. In the 'Language Mapping' column for 'Chinese Simplified', ensure that 'Chinese (Simplified)' is selected from the dropdown. Save the changes.
3. Make a minor edit to the default page you are trying to translate into Chinese.
4. Attempt to update the translation again.
This should resolve the automatic translation issue to Chinese.

If this solution does not apply to your situation, or if it is outdated, we encourage you to open a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. This site registers credit cards and uses automatic translation.
Last week I upgraded the plugin to the latest version.
I used to be able to use auto-translation, but now it is not working.
・Japanese to English: OK
・Japanese to Thai: OK
・Japanese to Simplified Chinese: Error
In this situation, only Simplified Chinese has an error.
I will send you a screen capture of the error.

Do you know how to solve this problem?

・Version
WPML Media Translation 2.7.4
WPML Multilingual CMS 4.6.10
WPML String Translation 3.2.11

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support.

Meanwhile this ticket is attended by one of my colleagues, I'll recommend trying the following:

IMPORTANT: Take full backup of your website and database beforehand.

- Update WordPress to the latest version.
- Then clear caches. This is very important due to a recently reported issue which was fixed by our team swiftly. So please you must clear all caches and cookies or try in a browser which you haven't used previously for this purpose.
- And try again.

Please let us know your findings:

- Browser you used.
- URL of the job (you can take this from the browser address bar when you run into the issue while using ATE).
- Any console errors (found in the browser console).

and we'll try our best to help you further on the matter.

Regards.

Hello There,

I hope you're doing well. I have taken over this ticket and would be happy to assist you in this matter.

I understand the problem. It appears that the language mapping for Simplified Chinese has not been set up correctly, which is why an error occurs when attempting to add translations automatically. Could you please try the following and check if it helps in solving the issue?

- Navigate to "WPML > Languages" and click on the "Edit Languages" link in the `Site Languages` section.
- In the "Language Mapping" column for the "Chinese Simplified" language, ensure that "Chinese (Simplified)" is selected from the dropdown. Save the changes.
- Then, go to the default page you are trying to translate into Chinese and make a minor edit.
- Try to update the translation. The automatic translation to Chinese should now function correctly.

Please let me know how it goes. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
